Tres heridos en accidente en la Cumbre de conector en Kamloops


Kamloops Mounties are investigating a two-vehicle accident on the Summit Connector that may be linked to a an incident on Summit Drive near Thompson Rivers University that was the result of a call to police.
While details as of 2:45 p.m. today at scarce, it is known a black Dodge SUV was in a collision with a blue Chevy Cavalier at the intersection of West Victoria Street  and Mission Flats Road at about 2 p.m.

The impact sent the car skidding east, while flipping the SUV.
Witnesses at the scene said there was an incident farther up Summit Drive moments early, one that may have included one vehicle rear-ending another.
Cpl. Cheryl Bush was at the scene and said police are looking into what transpired.
“At this point, we are trying to determine exactly what took place,” she said.
The driver of the SUV left the accident scene, but was found and eventually taken to Royal Inland Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Two occupants of the car were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Patric Dupuis was a witness to the crash. He was on his way home from work and said he saw the driver of the black Dodge SUV rear-end another vehicle before crashing into the blue Cavalier at West Victoria Street and Mission Flats Road. He said the driver of the SUV jumped out and began running toward downtown.
Dupuis said he called for the man to stay at the accident scene, but noted the driver mentioned his insurance was in the vehicle as he ran from the scene.
